The Cortex Core is an advanced online vibration measurement and condition monitoring system developed by BETAVIB, designed to enhance the reliability and performance of critical industrial assets through real-time diagnostics and predictive maintenance capabilities.
Key Features of the Cortex Core System
- Comprehensive Sensor Integration: Supports a wide array of sensors, including vibration, temperature, pressure, voltage, current, proximity probes, and 4–20 mA signals. This versatility allows for holistic monitoring of machinery health.
- High-Fidelity Data Acquisition: Offers configurations with 16 or 32 vibration channels, each capable of sampling at 51.2 kHz. This high sampling rate ensures accurate capture of vibration signals for detailed analysis.
- Embedded Signal Processing: Equipped with a dual-core ARM-A9 processor, the system performs real-time analysis of vibration indicators such as RMS, Peak, Crest Factor (CF), Kurtosis (KU), and Overall Velocity. It also computes power in specific frequency bands and conducts FFT spectral analysis, facilitating early detection of anomalies.
- Adaptive Monitoring Algorithms: Utilizes intelligent algorithms that adapt to varying operating conditions, enabling accurate monitoring of machinery with variable states and ensuring timely detection of transient events
- Robust and Scalable Design: Housed in a NEMA 4-rated enclosure, the system is designed to operate reliably in harsh industrial environments. Its modular architecture allows for easy scalability to accommodate additional channels and sensor types as monitoring needs evolve.
- Data Management and Remote Access: Features onboard data storage capabilities, ensuring data retention during network outages. Once connectivity is restored, data is synchronized with a central SQL Server database, supporting remote diagnostics and long-term trend analysis.
